"Remembering is what strengthens a people because they feel rooted, they have an identity and history… Memory reminds us that we are not alone. We are part of a people." (Pope Francis)
As our Holy Father reminds us, remembering those who walked before us is not simply about our beloved dead. It is also an opportunity for us to remember that each and every one of us has a story, a family, and is part of something larger than themselves. Take time this month to make those connections.
We invite you to lift up in prayer your beloved dead and allow all of us to pray for them as well. For a donation of any amount, we will include the names of your loved ones, now resting in the arms of their Savior, in our Book of Remembrance. The Book of Remembrance will be kept, throughout the month of November, in the Cathedral Chapel of the Dead in the South Ambulatory of the Cathedral, and we will pray for those included in the Book of Remembrance at all of the Masses during the month. Stay connected with those who have gone before you and shower them with prayers and love!
